Brian Argetsinger Obituary

Brian was born on April 8, 1952 in Klamath Falls, OR to John and Doris Argetsinger. He met Sharon Staples while attending Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho in August, 1971. Brian and Sharon were married in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on May 6, 1972 and were privileged to share nearly 52 years of wedded bliss. Together, they raised six children -- Tatia, Sarah, Travis, Jared, Seth, and Megan -- in a home filled with love and laughter. Years later, they were blessed with six grandchildren -- Calvin Hall, Abbey Hall, Blake Hall, Addison Davis, Levi Davis, and Blaze Argetsinger.

Brian was an avid reader with a love for science fiction, fantasy, and history. He loved games of strategy and trivia, and regularly trounced his family members on game nights. He loved camping on beautiful San Juan Island, which became a yearly family tradition. Brian and Sharon shared an enthusiasm for travel, and passed that love to their children. He also loved animals, and could regularly be found watching online videos of silly dogs and cats. He loved his pets, and had a very special place in his heart for Ellie, his sweet cocker spaniel.

Brian's entrepreneurial journey began at age 5, renting seat cushions for 25 cents each at his father's weekly auctions at the Resale House, a new/used furniture store. In 1972, he joined the family business, and later took over management when John passed away in 1978.

Brian started working as an independent ITEX broker in 1991. His excellence and personable nature led to a position as Vice President of Broker Development, where he became an essential part of the corporation's identity.

In Brian's professional life, he built a network of friends and honorary family who admired him for his wisdom, enthusiasm, and compassion. At home, at work, and at church, he was a natural teacher, coach, and mentor to all who crossed his path.

Brian had a deep and meaningful connection to his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. His faith guided him every day and lent him a sense of peace in the knowledge that he would see his beloved parents and cherished wife again, and for all eternity.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Doris; and his brother, Jack. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his six children, six grandchildren, brother, Jerry, and sister, Beth
