Clifford Page Obituary

Clifford Page, 72, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2019, at his home in Covington, WA. He was born in Wenatchee, WA, in 1946 to Glenora and Eugene Page. He graduated from Renton High School in 1965. He enlisted in the Army and was trained as an electrician and served in combat in the Vietnam War flying in a Chinook Helicopter. He went on to work for Western Electric and the Boeing Company working at various locations around Puget Sound. After retiring, he volunteered weekly for the USO and then at the VA Hospital in Seattle. He was a devoted Christian and longtime member of the Church of Christ in Kent, WA. Although he died from a 9 year battle with mesothelioma, his love for the arts and the Seattle Mariners never wavered. He could often be found in downtown Seattle attending the opera, ballet, symphony, and sporting events. His joyous attitude towards life carried him through many adventures; his favorites being going to hot springs, canoeing, playing tennis, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Roxann Page, son Bryan Page of Bellingham, WA, son Darren Page and son-in-law Kevin Chandler of Boston, MA, and grandson Austin Chandler-Page of Boston, MA. An interment service will be held Wednesday, August 14th at 9:30am at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, with a celebration of his life to follow at 11am at Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel (27221 156th Avenue SE, Kent, WA). In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to PeaceTrees Vietnam (peacetreesvietnam.org); an organization which Cliff was passionate about.
