Homer "Bud" Huson Obituary

Homer G. “Bud” Huson, JR, age 96, Passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Veteran’s nursing facility located at American Lake in Tacoma. Bud was born October 8, 1922 in Seattle, Washington to the late Homer SR and Pearl Williams Huson. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army, surviving the Normandy Invasion during WWII, and a member of the machinist union for many years. Bud was known for his incredible sense of humor, his love of dancing, bowling, golfing, playing poker and especially his family. Survivors include his beloved wife Virginia “Ginger” Huson of Maple Valley, WA; his children Lori (Homer) Smith of Maple Valley, WA, Rob (Celia) Zipp of San Jose, CA, Kevin (Sandy) Zipp of Wisconsin, Tina (Jeff) Elliott of Ravensdale, WA; grandchildren John Robert Douglas, Samantha Martinez, Allie Zipp, Robbie Zipp, Conner Elliott, Camryn Elliott, Kaitlin Roberson; Great Grandchildren Jordyn Douglas, Braeden Douglas, Brooklynn Douglas, Christopher Martinez, Landon Martinez, Colt Martinez. Friends are invited to a time of visitation Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 4 to 6 pm at the chapel of Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel, 27221 156th Avenue SE, Kent and to Graveside Services with Honors rendered by the United States Army on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, WA. A Celebration of His Life will follow at Lake Wilderness Villa, 24100 221st Pl SE, Maple Valley. Services entrusted to Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel, Kent.
