Shelley Renee Eid

June 2, 1954 to January 27, 2014

Shelley Renee Eid, our Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend to everyone she knew. Shelley was born on June 2, 1954 in Dickinson, North Dakota, to Alvina and Larry Harrington and left our earth much too early on January 27, 2014. She was raised in Eastern Washington before her family moved to Kent in 1968. Shelley graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1973.

Shelley always looked forward to working with young kids at Pony Trails Preschool where she was loved by the little kids and truly loved them and will be missed. She also loved camping, riding ATVs and horseback riding. Shelley was active in the Meridian Riding Club and also the 4-H club with one of her granddaughters. Everyone who knew her knew she was very outgoing and loved her family and friends. Nothing would stop her from doing what she wanted to do, especially if she loved doing it. She was a very strong and determined woman yet very soft hearted and listened to everything that was said to her in her own special way. She cared for so many close friends and truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Shelley is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years Dave Eid; son Shawn Chittenden and daughter Heidi Eid, who have become wonderfully understanding adults with their own families; and grandchildren Alyvia, Keynin, Nayomi, and Austyn. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather Alvina and Ron Goss; brother Kim Harrington and wife Diane; sister, Vicki Paxson and husband Jerry; sister-in-law Mary; stepbrothers Stephen Goss and wife Janet and Kevin Goss and wife Teresa; stepsisters Susan Abbott and Caron Goss; mother-in-law Corky Eid; sisters in law Carol Tedrick and husband Jim and Sue Barnhart and husband Marty; and many nieces and nephews, who were all very important to her.

She was preceded in death by her father Larry Harrington, brother Dean Harrington, and father in law Alan Eid.

Her soul and influence will forever be with us in our hearts until the day we will all meet up again! With both Love and Sorrow, We Will Miss You Until We Meet Again!

Viewing is Friday, February 7, 2014 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service is Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. both will be held at Mt. Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 19001 SE 272nd Street, Kent, WA. A Graveside service will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at Hillcrest Burial Park, 1005 Reiten Road, Kent, WA.
