Vernie Lockard Obituary

Vernie Dwain Lockard, 84 passed away May 31, 2018 at his home in Maple Valley, WA. He was born in 1934 in Leonard, Missouri to the late Vern and Ellen Lockard. Vern was a general contractor by trade. He retired in 1999 from L & B Systems and Vern Lockard Construction. He enjoyed camping, traveling both internationally and domestically, motor homing, snowmobiling, motor biking but most of all he enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He was a member of the Burien Elks. Survivors include his beloved wife Glenna Lockard of Maple Valley, WA his loving children Anna Joan Lockard of Enumclaw, WA, Marci McGibbon of Maple Valley, WA, Brent (Lisa) Rankin of Orting, WA, and Robb (Cara) Rankin of Burien, WA; brother Dennis Brookhart and sister Faye Greek both of Missouri, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Sheila Lockard. Friends are invited to Graveside Services with Military Honors, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 3 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA. Remembrances to Providence Hospice, 2811 South 102nd St. #220, Tukwila, WA 98168.
