Vincent Struthers Brown died peacefully on September 29th, 2019. He was the son of late William Herald Brown and Cecilia Ester Brown. Born in Oak Park, Illinois on February 13th, 1932, he spent most of his life in the state of Washington in the communities of Winlock, Forks, Bellingham and the greater Seattle area.
He was a graduate of the University of Washington and had a Master’s degree of psychology. Vince served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army National Guard reserves.
After leaving the military he began working as a school teacher and later entered the business world where he worked for Washington School Supply for twenty years. His second career began after receiving his Master of Psychology, when he worked in vocational counseling for the University of Washington.
In 1955, Vince and Joan Marie Merridith married and together they had two children.
Vince is survived by his two children, son Vincent Scott Brown and daughter Susan Brown Rives and their spouses Monique Brown and Sandy Rives, one brother Ronald Herald Brown, five grandchildren Sam, Mac, Danielle, Amelie and Lizzie, three nephews, Dave, Tim and Aaron and two nieces Alisa and Julie.
