Alberta Mazique was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on March 7, 1937 to Willie L. Mazique and Daisy L. Mazique-Fields.
Alberta completed her life journey on May 26, 2020.
Alberta was proceeded in death by her parents and siblings Willie (Lee), Curtis, Freddie (Suggy), Lola Mae and Lee Andrew.
Alberta is survived by her significant other Otha M. Johnson Jr. Her sister Daisy of Seattle, WA., brothers Roosevelt and James of Freeport, IL., and Charles of Seattle; her six children Carmen, Ted, Johvanna, Lauresa, Rhea and Otha;14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Alberta was a loving and devoted mother first and foremost. She taught her children to always be kind, courteous, respectful, and to help others; she taught them their ABC’s and to read well ahead of entering kindergarten. She enjoyed crossword and word find puzzles and could pronounce just about every word in the English dictionary; she loved to walk and sew, often designing and sewing her children’s clothing. Her life was about her love for her family, and her family will miss her dearly.
