Boyd Ardith Rockwell

On February 11, 1937 in the small town of Kent, Washington, Frank and Clara Rockwell welcomed their newborn son, Boyd Ardith Rockwell into their loving family. When Boyd was fresh out of high school he took charge of his life and went to work for The Boeing Company where he worked all the way to his retirement after 37 years.

During Boyd’s golden years he loved to go snowmobiling and trek through the wilds on hunting trips. He was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the National Rifle Association. When he was not adventuring through the wilderness you would often find Boyd reading a western novel or putting a jigsaw puzzle together. That is, only if the local sports teams were not playing at the time. As a loyal sports fan, Boyd always kept up on the latest exploits of the Seattle Seahawks and The Mariners.

On March 12, 2021, eighty-four years after that momentous February day in 1937, Boyd left this world for his latest adventure. Boyd is survived by his wife Linda Rockwell; stepson Whit “Ron” Persell and his wife Amy and daughter Ramona; stepdaughters RaeAnn and LeeAnn Persell; sister-in-law Adrienne Rockwell; nieces Shelly Coleman, Connie Rockwell, Cathy Rockwell, and nephews Vern Rockwell, Mike Stanwood.

Boyd was preceded by his parents Frank J. Rockwell and Clara (Peterson) Rockwell; brothers Fran Rockwell, Wayne Rockwell, Norman Rockwell, Lowell Rockwell, Wes Rockwell and his wife Della, Lynn Rockwell, and his sister Edith (Rockwell) Stanwood and her husband Ray.

Boyd Ardith Rockwell was deeply loved and will missed by all who knew him.
