Born December 23, 1951, Dale Michael Campbell embodied the importance of trust, compassion and family. Never one to shy away from time with his family or beloved wife of 50 years, Jean. Dale’s greatest passion was being with those he loved. This was not only true of his family but also his life-long friends, his Union (Local IBEW 46) and those whom he got to know though others. Dale and Jean lovingly raised a wonderful family of 4, Matt, Paul, Chaunise and Suzanne with that same duty to each other.
Dale was a lifelong electrician supporting some of our region’s largest and most significant structures and facilities. He would often share a story or anecdote of these in passing and with those stories share a sense of pride for the long-term accomplishment he brought to his state. Without accepting praise or boasting, Dale simply was proud of his hard work and what this meant to the security and well-being of Jean and the kids.
Later in life Dale played one of his favorite and most cherished roles as grandfather to Saidee and Pearl Dervaes, Lillian, George and Galina Avanessian, and Taryn, Madison and Logan Campbell. Dale knew his role of rule breaker and creator of grandpa’s house where kids could be kids free of the rules their parents may have sent them there with. The true gift of all of these visits was time spent with grandpa sharing a chair, a movie and maybe a soda.
A lover of the road trip and camping, Dale and Jean had countless trips in their truck to places far and wide sharing in their communal love of getting away. Whether it was camping with family or taking a grandchild fishing, Dale and his beloved worn levi’s would be the leader of the pack making sure all were having a great time.
Dale will be truly missed by the loving families that surrounding him: Paul, Mandy, Madison, Taryn and Logan Campbell; Suzanne, Brian, Saidee and Pearl Devaes; Chaunise, Stephen, Lillian, George and Galina Avanessian and his consistent companion and loving wife Jean..
No one ever personified the roles of Father, Friend, and Grandfather better then Dale Campbell.
