Don E Jensen, 100, of Kent, passed away on June 27, 2022 in Kent, WA.
He was born on May 11, 1922 to Emille and Myrtle Jensen in Salt Lake City, UT. During his 100 years, Don lived and amazing life and witnessed many of the countries "firsts." He earned his engineering degree from the University of Utah and helped survey roads for the North and South Rim of the Grand Canyon. He joined the Army Air Corp, the predecessor to the Air Force, and became a pilot, flying B-17s over Germany in WWII. Don left the military until called back to active service during the Korean War. He eventually became a Mechanical Engineer for Boeing, dedicating 30 plus years to the company.
Don is survived by his two Sons, David and his wife Mitos Jensen of Kent, WA, Brian and his wife Conchita Jensen also of Kent, WA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Peggy J. Wooten who died in 2011 and his parents, Emille and Myrtle Jensen.
His urn will be placed during services on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 9:00 am at the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA, with military honors provided by the U. S. Air Force.
