Edna Martha Peterson nee Boschee of Renton, Washington, was taken home to her Lord on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018. She was 91. She was born June 7th, 1927. Her parents were Fred and Katie Boschee of Hebron, North Dakota. Edna grew up with her older brother Albert between Hebron, Anaconda Montana and Tacoma, Washington, where she attended Lincoln High School. After the loss of her father in 1945, she and her mother relocated to Spokane, Washington. There, Edna worked for the J.J. Newberry Department store for 18 years and met her late husband, Chuck.
In 1967, with their 2 young children, they moved to Renton. Edna then worked for Custom-Bilt, which later became Hunter-Douglas, a window covering manufacturer, for 15 years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Chuck. She is survived by her children, Pete (Carla) Peterson and Debbie (Mike) Murphy. She is also survived by Grandchildren, John (Kellsie) Peterson, Richard Peterson, Laura Peterson, Katie Murphy, Kevin Murphy, and Madison Murphy. Edna will be remembered as someone who loved her grandchildren and working in her garden.
Friends are invited to a Committal at Tahoma National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., July 3rd and a Memorial Service at Edna’s church, Divine Peace Lutheran, on July 7th at 2:00 p.m. The church is located at 17251 128th Ave S.E., Renton.
