Helen C. (Garber) Cederwall
August 1923 - January 2014
Helen, our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves behind her three children Cathy Boone and son-in-law Larry, Paul Cederwall and daughter-in-law Debbie, and Dan Cederwall, (wife, Linda, deceased); seven adored grandchildren; niece, Marlene Kuffle, and nephew, Randy Wagoner. She was preceeded in death just 5 months ago by her husband, Clayton of 66 years; and her sister, Bessie in 2000.
Her family was the joy of her life and her grandchildren were “My Jewels.” They are Annie, Jake, Cathy, Kristi, Sarah, Sam (Paul’s children), and Rachel (Dan’s daughter). Her message to her “Jewels” is this, “Stay close to Jesus” and “Trust in the Lord with all thine Heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV).
Helen was born in August, 1923 to Ira Jacob and Ida E. Garber of Salida, and attended Salida and Modesto schools. She married Clayton Cederwall in 1947 and moved to Turlock having 66 wonderful years together. In 2011, Helen and Clayton moved to Auburn, WA to live near their children Cathy and Paul and their families. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service is scheduled, Saturday, January, 25 at Edline & Yahn Covington Funeral Chapel, Kent, WA, and burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.
