Jeffrey Alan Barton, beloved husband, father and brother, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cornell Barton. She is a native of Kauaii and has been living in Washington for the past 22 years. Also survived by his son John Amaral and daughter Clarissa Amaral, both originally from Kauai. He also has three grandchildren, Makaia, Aiyana and Kiana. Also his sister, Julie Anne of Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews on Kauaii, Connecticut and Maryland. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Madelon Barton, and his twin brother Joel Adrian. Jeffrey was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and served aboard both the USCGC Sassafras and the Bark Eagle. He also distinguished himself in marksmanship while in the service. He worked in later years as a forklift and heavy machinery mechanic. But he would most want to be remembered as a preacher of the Gospel of his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was tireless in his efforts to help people understand the gift of salvation. He was a good husband, a good father, a good son and a good brother. He will be greatly missed.
A private service with military honors will be held for the family in July of 2020.
In light of Covid-19, the family requests that monetary donations be made (to cover expenses) in lieu of flowers. To do so, please contact Cornell Barton.
