JoAnne Anderson

JoAnne Anderson passed away peacefully in Kent on December 7, 2020, just one day after her 62^nd wedding anniversary.  She was born on October 29, 1939 in Minneapolis, Mn.  She went to middle school and high school in Phoenix, AZ and has lived in Kent, WA since 1972.   She is survived by her son, Stanley Anderson, and daughters Cynthia Fickle, Catrina Bland, and Carin Anderson, brothers Jim Tchida and Wayne Tchida, and her husband, Robert Anderson.  Her daughter Christina Anderson and brother Gene Tchida preceded her in death.  She had 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  She worked in the medical field for almost 50 years, mostly with Valley Orthopedics. She was active with Pinto horses for several years. She went to numerous AFS functions with her husband.   She loved sunsets, the Olympic Mountains, Hood Canal beaches, the Seattle Mariners, watching the Hummingbirds, gardening with flowers, book clubs and going to the theatre with her friends.  She enjoyed walking with her granddaughter who reminded her “tits up Nana.”  She was a very special lady and her bright and shining face will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
