He is survived by his family in Minnesota, siblings; Bobbi Jean Cook, Ruth (Joe) Roy, Dennis Hackl, Karen Bohler, his nieces and nephews; Michael (Suzy) Roy, Steven Roy, Tracy Roy, Jessica (Joe) Berg, Drew Bohler, Aaron Bohler, and Austin (Belle) Bohler, and great nieces and nephews; Asher Berg, Michi Berg, Sophia Roy and Scarlett Bohler.

“Strangers are just friends I haven’t met yet”, said Will Rogers and John was living proof. Before becoming a pilot, he spent years as a long-haul trucker; never lonely as he made friends everywhere he traveled. Who else could call 411 (back in the day) then spend over an hour chatting with the operator like old friends!

John retired from Horizon Air in 2015 kept busy building and repairing computers for friends and family.

Marian is not planning to have a memorial service so lease let her know how you knew John and share your memories, anecdotes and any pictures you might have.
