Johnny was born on August 18th, 1989 at 2:33 in the afternoon in Anchorage, Alaska. Johnny was named Jonathan Joseph Klopfstein. Friends and family always affectionately called him Johnny. His sister always called him brother and when she was younger it was “brudder”. Johnny pursued many interests throughout his life. In his younger years, he played the clarinet and the saxophone. He played baseball, soccer, karate, wrestling, snowboarding, and golf. He was always gifted at Math. In 2006, Johnny volunteered to help younger kids who struggled in math through the Study Zone program at the library in Kent.
In 2014, Johnny volunteered for the Refugee Resettlement Program through the Kent parks. This program assisted arriving refugees with such things as setting up bank accounts, finding an apartment, and job placement. He also helped out with the back to school barbeque through Cornerstone church.
Johnny loved people and he was always someone that friends and family could count on when they needed help. We admired his concern and sensitivity toward all people’s feelings.
Johnny Graduated from Kent Meridian H.S. in 2007. He simultaneously attended Green River Community College where he completed an AA. Johnny also completed a Certificate in Graphic Production at Green River Community College. Johnny attended WSU for 2 and ½ years to pursue a BS in Food Science, but later decided that his passion was writing. He decided to drop out of the Food Science program and complete his book. He wrote and published his book on Amazon last year. The name of his book is “Infinite & Infinity”. His desire was to write many more books.
Johnny will be dearly missed by family and friends.
