Nancy Pauline (Ryan) Bennett

Nancy Pauline (Ryan) Bennett, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend was granted her angel wings and passed away peacefully on Sunday September 6, 2020.  She was 88 years old.  Nancy was born on July 27, 1932 in Manitoba, Canada to Thomas Ryan and Whilomena (Minnie) Quade- Ryan.  She graduated from Renton High School in 1950 and went on to marry LB Bennett on April 2, 1953.  Nancy lived in Renton most of her adult life where she and the family she raised attended St. Anthony Catholic Church.  She was always there for her children at every stage of their lives and loved watching them grow.  Nancy and LB supported their household by working at a family construction business, something she continued to do after LB passed away in 1977.  After her family, Nancy’s loves included reading, working in her yard, and getting together with family and friends.  Her spirit always took her back to the church, and for many years she volunteered there and was honored to be a eucharistic minister.

Nancy is survived by her loving siblings Bernice Burtis, Shirley Wiese, Carol Corbett, and Marty Ryan; nine wonderful children Debbie Petersen, Tony Bennett, Tina Bright, Tim Bennett, Diane Peebler, Beth Stober, Kelly Wood, Nikki VanWinkle, and Curtis Bennett; 18 greatly adored grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Nancy was crazy in love with God, her family, and the Seahawks.  Even during her illness her greatest wish, above all else, was to be with her kids and grandkids.  Her face lit up a room when any of them came to visit.

She will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church followed by a burial at Greenwood Memorial Park.
