Paul Edwards passed July 11, 2021. He was in his home and surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Paul was born December 8, 1948 in Portland, Oregon, the second son of Gail and Grethe Edwards. He, his parents and older brother moved to Riverside, California where he graduated from Ramona High School in 1966.
After graduation Paul enlisted in the United States Navy. In 1970, while stationed in Hawaii, he met, fell in love with, and married Sue Onsager and promptly started a family that would include three children: Christopher, Keri, and Anthony.
After his service in the Navy, Paul joined the Los Angeles Police Department, before eventually transferring to the Seattle Police Department, where he remained until retirement.
When not working, Paul could frequently be found in his woodshed or working on models of warships and vehicles, or-- during the spring and early summer--in a boat on a lake waiting for a nibble on his line.
Paul lived long enough to see four grandchildren grow up: Courtney and Chloe, daughters of Christopher, and Mikayela and Kaden, children of Keri and her husband Ross Johnson. He was also blessed to see Chloe make him a great grandfather twice over, with her daughter Kairi and son Raiser.
Paul did not leave his family behind. Rather he went to rejoin the love of his life, Sue, who preceded him on the next adventure 22 years ago.
