Pulusila "Sila" Iosua Ruhl

   PULUSILA (SILA) RUHL  

On Friday, October 7th, 2022, loving wife, mother of three children, grandmother of eight, and great grandmother of one passed away.

Sila was born on December 19th, 1940, in Mapusaga, American Samoa. She moved to Hawaii in 1956. In 1960, she met and married the love of her life Peter Eugene Ruhl on September 17th, 1960. They raised three boys (Bert, Pete, and Lucky). She had eight grandchildren (Breanne, Joshua, Sila, Elijah, Savannah, Lucas, Bryce, and Brooklynn). She also had one great-grandchild (Jordyn).

She was a professional hula dancer in Waikiki, when she met her soon to be husband who was in the Navy, stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hi. After 33 days of courtship they were married. Their marriage lasted almost 61 years until Peter's passing in 2021. 

She loved spending time with her family. Her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchild were the love of her life. She will be forever loved and missed dearly.  
 

Funeral service wil be held on October 25th, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Covington, Wa. (26106 164th Ave. SE.).
